Missions
Where there is no vision, the people perish. Proverbs 29:18a
The vision of the Stuart Heights missions program is to win people to Jesus by meeting their spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical needs through multi-faceted programs. Our mission support is 13% of our undesignated receipts and special offerings.
Ten percent of our undesignated receipts and special offerings go to the SBC Cooperative Program, which includes things such as helping provide for individual missionaries to serve as they are called to the mission field and supporting missionaries and outreaches of the North American Mission Board and International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. We praise God for the opportunity to serve Jesus by taking part in His Great Commission.
Three percent of our undesignated receipts and special offerings go to local and church-related missions, which includes things such as HaCoBACare, the Biblical Counseling Center, Interfaith Homeless Network, mission trips sponsored by SHBC to Honduras, a youth mission trip to the Carolina shore this summer, Choices, Student Venture, disaster relief, our local food bank, and many others.
